Would you like to get involved and help develop Malwen?
We’re very open to engagement with you at whatever level might work best for you. Once the land transaction for Malwen’s new home in Pembrokeshire has completed, we’re planning to open up the membership of the Community Benefit Society. To help us now in these initial phases and beyond we very much welcome your energy and support.
Do you have a specific skill you can offer, such as researching grants? Is there a specific discrete aspect of the project that inspires you? Or maybe you’d like to help take on a role such as looking after our social media or our fundraising efforts? Would you like to get involved with our business planning or helping with some designs and illustrations? Or perhaps you’d like to come and volunteer on the ground here in Pembrokeshire and get your hands dirty? We would be glad to hear from you.
At the moment we are relying on volunteer input to develop the project. We have some limited funds for some specific tasks and we hope to raise additional funds to support the wider work. A key aspect of Malwen is to provide livelihoods for those within the Malwen community.
We are looking for additional members for our Steering Group, particularly those with strong governance experience and skills that will also bring a broader diversity to the Board of Trustees. We particularly welcome Cymraig/Welsh speakers.

We have a specific queer volunteer event coming up 19-26th September, a great opportunity to experience what it’s like to live in a collaborative, land-based community first hand at Brithdir Mawr and meet some of the Malwen collective who are a currently part of the Brithdir Mawr Community.
Come and get your hands dirty in the garden, in the woods, on the land. Dig something, build something, cook something!
